AVG is one of the most widely used Anti viruses softwares used around the globe. Its free, effective and easy to handle with a layout easy enough to be handled by a three year old kid!
But one of the most common problems with AVG internet security is its General Error problem which forbids the software connect and install updates from its mother server posing a serious problem for the user.
So today I have a very simple solution to this problem. There are basically two steps to be followed sequence wise.
Go to this this folder and delete every file present. Restart your PC and then do a fresh installation of AVG. This will resolve the issue for sure, its a tested method and even recommended by the AVG official site.
Hope that these steps will help you out to get you out of your problem and make your system secure and protected again. As always if you have any suggestions to add to this article please feel free to leave a comment.

So today I have a very simple solution to this problem. There are basically two steps to be followed sequence wise.
1. The control panel method:
Go to control panel of your OS and click on 'uninstall program' option to find AVG internet security. Click on the uninstall option and a pop-up window will appear with three options, simply click on the 'Check for Updates' option. This will make AVG do a force check and will hopefully fix your problem making your anti-virus up-to-date.2. Uninstall the program:
This is the last resort! Unistall AVG internet security and subsequently restart your computer. Now when you have restarted your system just go to the control panel and select the 'Show hidden folders' options, now the default path to the log files is C:\ProgramData\AVG2014\logGo to this this folder and delete every file present. Restart your PC and then do a fresh installation of AVG. This will resolve the issue for sure, its a tested method and even recommended by the AVG official site.
