Best Gaming PC Configuration 2015

A Rs 30,000 budget gaming PC can give you better frames and texture quality than any of the present gen gaming consoles that cost over Rs. 40,000. But the PC, as a platform, is all about options—and one of those options is going above and beyond what you need in a gaming PC on the relentless quest for better graphics and better performance.
This is a guide to building one seriously high-end machine. Most gamers don’t need this much power. This is for the multi-monitor gamers, the 1440p 120Hz gamers, the gamers who accept nothing less than maxed-out settings on even the most demanding games. Most of us don’t need this kind of power, but here is it for the building. My recommended high-end rig comes in at around Rs. 1,65000—not as insanely powerful or expensive as the X99 builds from Intel , but more than good enough to run demanding games for the next several years.
With this high-end rig, I took future-proofing and upgradability seriously. Want to add in a second (or third) graphics card for even more power? You can do that. Want more RAM or SSDs than we think you need? You’ve got space and ports to support them. Want to overclock your rig like crazy? The cooling has you covered.

Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K

Price Rs. 24000 here

While a Core i5-4690K will get the job done for most gaming, if you want to crush a hardcore CPU-intensive game like ARMA 3, the Core i7-4790K is the best choice. On top of a higher stock clock speed, the i7 also supports hyperthreading, which can improve performance in a limited number of games that benefit from multi-core processing.
The Haswell 4790K is extremely overclockable and can hit speeds in the high 4 GHz range. Even without overclocking, the Core i7 is the fastest CPU you’re going to get for gaming. Of course, it’s hardly Intel’s most expensive CPU. So why the i7-4790K over a Rs. 80,000 Haswell Extreme 5960X or a slightly more reasonable Rs. 28,700 Haswell-E 5820K? Well, when it comes to clock speeds, neither of those more expensive processors outperforms the Core i7. In fact, sometimes they put up marginally slower framerates, and they’re not quite as overclocking-friendly.
There’s only one reason to get either of those more expenisve processors: PCIe lanes. The Core i7-4790K has only 16 PCIe lanes, which means it can support a single graphics card running at x16 speed, or two cards running at x8. To support three or four graphics cards, you need to step up to a Haswell-E processor with more PCIe lanes. But if you’re already planning a four-way SLI PC, you probably don’t need this buyer’s guide.
My high-end recommendation is designed around using one very powerful graphics card, with the potential of upgrading to a two-GPU SLI setup if you want the extra power. That just leaves one question: are you sacrificing performance by having two cards run at only x8 instead of x16? The answer is: No, not really.
Haswell-E CPUs and the X99 motherboards and DDR4 RAM that go along with them are simply more expensive than they’re worth for a single- or double-GPU system. That’s why, for our money, the Core i7-4790K is the best choice for a high-end CPU.

Motherboard: Asus Z97-PRO (Wi-Fi ac)

Price Rs. 18050 here
Like a high-end CPU, a high-end motherboard could easily cost hundreds of dollars. The most expensive motherboards tend to pile on features that I don’t think are very important, even in a high-end gaming rig. That’s why at 18050/- I think the Asus Z97-Pro (Wi-Fi ac) is the right balance of features, performance, and price.
Not only you can over-clock the processor to 4.9Ghz without any hiccup but also the RAM is vulnerable to over-clocking techniques!
In terms of features, the Z97-Pro has two x16 PCIe 3.0 slots and an additional PCIe 2.0 slot, plus three PCIe x1 slots; six SATA 6GB/s ports and an M.2 PCIe slot; and six USB 3.0 ports. It supports RAM up to 3200MHz and has some convenient on-board buttons: power, reset, CMOS clear, thunderbolt port and memOK. And it’s a standard ATX board, so it should fit in the vast majority of PC cases.

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X 2133 MHz DDR3 (8GB+8GB)

Price Rs. 7500+7500 here
For my medium build, I recommended 1600Mhz-1866 MHz RAM, but for a high-end rig like this one, I think the extra speed (and faster memory timings) of 2133 MHz RAM is worth the upgrade. that’s why I’m recommending G.Skill’s excellently reviewed Ripjaws X Series memory, which, at Rs. 15000, is 16GB of speedy RAM at a good price.
Now, why 16GB? It’s more than you strictly need for a gaming PC, but I’ve been running 8GB in a number of PCs for years, now, and today I’d consider it the bare minimum for anyone who uses their PC for more than gaming. If you use Photoshop, or edit video, or like to stream games, you’ll see benefits from the extra RAM. It’ll ensure ensure demanding games eating up 4+ GB of RAM won’t be slowed down by the other applications running in the background. And 16GB is far more future proof: in a year or two, 16GB will likely be the standard. It’s a worthy investment. 32GB is overkill: more than you’ll use for gaming in the next half decade, and certainly not worth the money.

Graphic Card: MSI GTX 980 4GB DDR5

Price Rs. 48900 here
The GTX 980. It's the most powerful single-GPU card around short of the GTX Titan, which, at $1000, is too expensive for this sane high-end build. (Though, if you want to spend the money for a Titan, it's definitely a great card). But the GTX 980 is a great solution: fast enough to run games at 1440p with ease, fast enough to handle high refresh rates and ultra settings. Just as importantly, it's quiet and extremely power efficient—under full load, you're looking at less than 400 watts total system usage.
This build is created to support the option of a second GTX 980 in SLI, if you decide you want even more power down the road.
And why MSI's GTX 980? It's one of the most affordable 980 models at $550 and has universally positive reviews. It's extremely quiet and even spins its fans down entirely when idling. Best of all, MSI's card is overclocked out of the box but that overclock can easily be pushed further. Thanks to good binning, it can crack the 1500 MHz mark.

Power Supply Unit: Corsair RM1000 1000 Watts PSU

Price Rs. 12900 here
For a high-end gaming rig, a power supply should meet three criteria: reliable, modular (and thus pleasant to build with), and beefy enough to support a pair of powerful GPUs. The Corsair RM1000 checks all of those boxes. It has a five-star average on Newegg and is 80 Plus Gold certified, making it very efficient when drawing large amounts of power. And at 1000 watts, it can handle even a pair of power-hungry graphics cards.

Storage:

Primary --- Samsung 840 EVO 500 GB SSD
Price Rs.  19990 here

Whether it booting up your system faster or loading the games quickly so that you don't have to waste time before jumping into the battlefield straight with all your guns blazing. The Samsun 840 EVO has enough of fast 500MB/sec of 500GB NAND storage die which compensates for no less than pefect and optimum I/O performance.
Secondary --- WD Caviar Green 3 TB
Price Rs. 7745 here
The Western Digital 3TB is a perfect match for this configuration as a secondary storage medium due to its large storage so that you never run out of space when storing your large full HD or soon to come 4K videos and large game setups that have been increasing in size especially seeing games like Battlefield Hardlines.
With 7200 rps its fast and reliable along with the green drive to ensure low power consumption and on sight warranty in India.

Cooler: Corsair H90

Price Rs. 6940 here
For my mid-range builds, I recommended the great Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO air cooler. Air coolers really can keep your system just as cool as they need to be, even when they’re overclocked. But closed-loop liquid coolers pose one major advantage: they’re much better at getting your processor back down to idle temperatures very quickly. For an overclocked i7-4790K, that’s worth the extra money.
I recommend the Corsair H90 as an affordable, reliable liquid cooler that’s easy to install. It uses a single 140mm radiator, but still delivers great performance even stacked up against some 240mm radiators. In my review it maintained some really sweet temperatures and stayed as quiet as any cooler can be.

Cabinet:

Price Rs. 12000-16000

For a build of this level and power you need to keep it in a full tower cabinet of perfect quality bot in terms of looks and performance. I suggest any of the following:
  • Cooler Master HAF X
  • Corsair Obsidian 750D
  • NZXT Phantom 410
  • Corsair Graphite 760T
  • Corsair Vengeance C70
Or you can choose and buy any one of the ones I've enlisted in my list

    1. The configuration in this range with Intel processor is as follows:

      Intel 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 i5-4690 - Rs 15900
      Gigabyte GA-H81M-S1 Motherboard - Rs 3565
      G.Skill Sniper 8GB 1600Mhz (2x4gb) - Rs 6000
      Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon R9 270X OC 2 GB DDR5 - Rs 14200
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Internal Hard Drive - Rs 3918
      Corsair VS550 550 Watt PSU - Rs 3000
Zebronics Fort Without SMPS - Rs 1100

You can replace the card with a GTX 960 but to be true the R9 270x oc performs equal and even better than the GTX 960. If you are adamant then you'll have to raise the budget or drop the idea of an i5 Processor.

  2. Thank u for reply, but i think the i5 model u have chosen is a bit more 'powerful' and yes more expensive.i5 4440,would have been a better option.as for the gpu the 960 blows the 270x oc to dust.the gigabyte mobo that u have suggested doesn't support 5.1 audio and has really mixed and confusing reviews.Kingston is a better option then gdkills

    1. Its not 'powerful' its 'future proof' if you want to buy that weak model than you'll be much better of running a AMD FX 8350 as it has more cores. The i5 4440 is weak and will soon become obsolete, you can do that by running ARMA3 or Crysis 3 on it and measuring the load and temperature.
The R9 270X OC is a card that you should personally test against the GTX 960 and not read the paid review that are floating out online. The higher bandwidth and more texel rate makes it a great option if you want to run games on high resolutions especially pairing it with Mantel API and the Omega Drivers. The models of the GTX 960 better than the 270X cost way more than it so if you can afford them then sure you can. I only recommend that I personally test and review.
Yes the 5.1 jack problem is there in the motherboard I agree but at this price point a motherboard that durable and supporting XMP profile for RAMs is hard to find because I rate faster RAMs over big speakers. The 5.1 channel problem can be solved in future with a USB sound card but you can't buy anything externally for keeping your motherboard cool and make it use the XMP profile on your RAM. Still you can buy anything else you like its your system after all.
Yes the Kingston Hyper X fury is a better option if you want to have a high frequency RAM module in the system for video editing and rendering without over-clocking the module. I don't use it so ID didn't but you seemed to have used it so you can go with it.

  3. Hey vishvesh can you tell a good amd gaming configuration for rs 40000 to rs 50000(rs 45000 is more preferable as i have to buy mouse keyboard combo and a controller).and also you have said that the r9 270x oc is better than gtx 960 is.that true .most reviews have different results to show.and is the r9 280(not the x model)still available in india because i can not find it online.and can you please include 8 core cpu in the build.thank you in advance.

    1. The R9 270X Toxic is better especially when you enable Mantle and use the AMD Omega drivers, so I suggest it to anyone on budget but the GTX 960 is more future proof as its two generation newer and will last more than the former without much tweaking. The reviews on the internet are very biased you can ask any of the owners of these cards if you want to they'll tell you the real truth.
You are going to buy a new PC and will use AMD processor so you can save money and get the GTX 960 instead.
      For your configuration:
      AMD FX 8350
      Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard
      MSI GeForce GTX 750Ti 2 GB GDDR5
      G.Skill Sniper DDR3 8 GB (2x 4 GB)
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Internal Hard Drive
      Corsair VS650 650 Watt PSU
      Antec ASK-4000B-U3 Mid Tower Cabinet

You can at-most decrease the processor to the FX 8320 if you want to save more other than that this is the minimum I recommend.
Yes the R9 280 is still available in fact all the models of AMD GPUs are available in India. Here is one of the links to the GPU

    1. No you don't need an after market cooler. They are just to keep the CPU cool further or to reduce noise levels. You can buy one after wards when ever you feel like but as of now its not needed nor recommended.

    1. Either will do it all depends on how much you can spend on your GPU.
But generally speaking, below 10000/- the market is clearly ruled by AMD cards so you can buy an AMD card if your budget lies in that range.
Over this price range the cards differ from price to price.

The motherboard has a PCI-Ex16 lane so you can get the Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon R7 250 2GB DDR5 with Boost for your PC.
The card is not very long so your cabinet will not pose an issue while installation.

You need to get a K processor along with a Z97 chipset board and even an after market air or best a liquid cooler.

    1. Everything is good and compatible and won't give you problem in gaming at 1080p for the next two years at least after wards you'll have to play games at 720p as the GPU isn't that powerful to last for 4-5 years.
The PSU and cabinet for this should be:
      Cabinet--
      Zebronics Duke Full Tower Cabinet

      PSU--
Seasonic M12II-620 Bronze Evo Edition 620 Watts
Both of this will come under 7000/- and will support all your existing and most of the future components easily.

    3. Your budget is too less for a PC that you are asking for, still I'm giving you the best your budget can get you:
      Processor: Intel 3.1 GHz LGA 1150 i5 4440 Rs 12500
      Motherboard: Asus B85M-K Rs 6100
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB Rs 2200
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200RPM Rs 3700

      PSU: Corsair VS550 550 Watt Rs 3300
Cabinet: Zebronics Duke Full Tower Rs. 1500

This is the ideal configuration though to adjust it in your budget tightly you can get the Intel i3 4150 instead of the Intel i5 4440 as suggested, it will not effect your gaming or office performance. You can upgrade the graphic card later on if you feel like you need more performance for gaming.

    5. Sure use the Intel i5 4460 and R7 250 there won't be any compatibility issue, I'd not suggested you the same because that would've blown your budget by a considerable margin.
The UEFI BIOS is used by Gigabyte Motherboards and the cheapest one that can support upto four RAM slots is the Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H with compatibility to all the above mentioned components.
Built-in WiFi and Bluetooth support along with UEFI BIOS is only available in the Gigabyte GA-Z97N-Wifi but since it doesn't have four but two RAM slots and costs a bit too much for this budget I suggest that you get the Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H and buy a PCI-e WiFi card along with a USB Bluetooth adapter to fulfill your needs.
Multiple monitor connection is possible by the Graphic Card itself so don't worry.

    1. The Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H will suffice all your needs. Just in case you can't get it in that price range locally or on your trusted online retailer's site then the Gigabyte B85M-D3H is your second best option.
The multi monitor as I've written before also depends on the graphic card that you'll use so the R7 250 will support multi monitor support via its HDMI and VGA ports.

    3. Its the 1600Mhz variant 1866Mhz is the frequency of the Vengeance Pro.
Yes this cabinet will have enough space for your R9 270X even if you opt for the longest version ie the R9 270X Toxic.
This configuration will run most of the games on high to very high setting on 720p resolution or medium settings at 1080p resolution.
I'd day you buy the monitor that I've suggested you for better experience and making your investment worth its just around 1K over the one you've selected but almost 3' bigger.

    1. Hello,
Before declaring this as a major hardware issue I want you to do the following two steps in the order I'm writing them and then reply back accordingly:
      1. Update all the drivers for your motherboard along with flashing the BIOS to the latest version.

      2. See if all the cables are tightly connected including the ATX12V to the processor and the PCI-e cables to the graphic card, make sure you've connected 8-pins to the graphic card and not 6.

      3. Now run your games to see if the problem is resolved or not. If its fine then skip the next step.

      4. Run benchmarking and stability tests like Prime95 and Cinebench R15 not simultaneously but one after the other, if the system runs fine both in terms of CPU and GPU then nothing should be wrong on the hardware end.

After these run the game you are trying to run and see if the problem persists.

  16. Hi, your answers are really awesome. I have a very tight budget of 30-32k. I've decided to buy fx8350 and Asus m5a97 r2.0 second hand at 11.7k and Kingston hyperx 8gb ram at 3k. Can you suggest me other parts within 15k-17k? (including monitor and excluding CD/DVD ROM, Cooler, speaker)

    1. Hello,
Thank you for the kind words. First of all congratulations for getting this motherboard and processor combo for such a great price. Run a stability test once you get other parts to make sure the processor and motherboard are in good condition.
As for the other parts, below is the list:
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200RPM Rs 3700
      Graphic Card: Sapphire AMD/ATI R7 240 1GB DDR5 Rs 5200
PSU: Corsair VS550 550 Watt PSU Rs 3500
Cabinet: Zebronics Duke Full Tower Rs 1500

Monitor can be the AOC 15.6 inch LED Backlit LCD for around Rs 4300
This is a bit over your budget but I'll suggest you spend this much for a proper and lasting build at most you can downgrade to a 500GB HDD to save around 700-800 and bring this configuration in your mentioned budget.
Feel free to ask any further questions.

    2. Thanks for such quick reply. I will buy 320gb sata hard disk at 1500 (as I have a 1tb external hard disk and a laptop having 500gb hdd for storage) n 19" led at 5k. but I really don't like the gpu so I'm going for zotac 750ti at 9.5k. can you suggest another good smps which will last for 3 years? I can push my budget upto 40k if I get a futureproof system. I'm also getting fx8150 + 990xa-ud3 second hand at same price and same warrantee(1 year old). So, which combo is better ??

      Delete
    3. Even for this system configuration the Corsair VS550 will do just fine but still you can get the Corsair VS650 if you can spend some more on the PSU or best the Seasonic M12II-620 Bronze Evo Edition 620 Watts which will last you for more than you require with full stability and reliability.

The FX8350 and ASUS m5a97 r2.0 are a better combo than the latter so go for that.

It is shock and water proof which makes it the best product out there along with a decent read/write speed.
I personally use it aswell so its a recommendation based on a thorough review.

  18. Want to build a gaming pc under 50k including a 22 inch monitor

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. For 50K including monitor the below configuration will be suitable for Gaming:
      AMD FX 6300 - Rs 8500
      Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard -- Rs 5000
      MSI AMD/ATI R9 380 2GD5T OC 2 GB GDDR5 -- Rs 21000
      Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600mhz -- Rs 3400
      Antec VP650P 650 Watts PSU -- Rs 4500
Zebronics Fort Full Tower Cabinet -- Rs 1100
      Dell S2240L 22 inch 60hz -- Rs 9000

Now you can either extend your budget by roughly Rs. 6000 and get an Intel i5 4440 along with a Asus B85M-G Motherboard for a future proof build since the AM3+ socket by dead with no more processors coming up but incase of the LGA 1150 you can upgrade to the i7 4770K or i7 4790K in future when the prices come down without changing the motherboard.
So its entirely upto you as Intel i5 4440 will perform equal to the AMD FX 6300 in terms of gaming.

  19. Please suggest a gaming desktop for 100k.. is the new skylark a better choice?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello,
Yes the new Skylak is a better choice over the DDR3 based LGA 1150 boards and processors, though you'll not see any noticable difference between the i7 4790K Devil'c Canyon and the i7 6700K but in longer run and with a budget such as yours the Skylake triumphs since you get USB Type C along with DDR4 memory support which is slowly becoming mainstream. Also the price of the board and processor is nearly identical!
Stay tuned I'm about to post a Skylake Motherboard review soon.
As for your configuration I'll suggest the following config:
      Processor: Intel Core i7 6700K Rs 29000
Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Rs 16000
      RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 Rs 6500
Graphic Card: Gigabyte GTX970 Windforce 3X OC Edition Rs 30000
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Rs 3500
      SSD: Kingston V300 SSDNow 120GB Rs 3000
PSU: Seasonic M12II-750 Bronze Evo Rs 7500
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212X Rs 2600
Cabinet: Cooler Master HAF 912 Rs 5000

This configuration is slightly over your budget but will not let you down no matter what you run on it. If you want to get it within the 100K mark then sap the GTX 970 with either the Zotac variant or the Gainward since they cost less and stock performance difference is negligible.
Feel free to ask any further questions regarding this and if you plan to buy online then please inform me I'll give you the links.

    My Preference are:
stricly i5 processor with 3.5 ghz( not 4440 , as you commented will be obselete in coming months)
mobo should have 4 slots of ram and atleast 1 3.0 usb,
graphic card budget is max 6000.
2 ram stick 4gb(corsair or gskill)
1 tb hard disk (baracuda or WD)
PSU 550 watt (local or corsair)
    Cabinet to fit all above.
    monitor 20' inch
    I have speaker,joystick,keyboard & mouse.

2k-3k plus is acceptable in budget.

      Processor: Intel i5 4460 3.2Ghz LGA 1150 Rs 11000
Motherboard: Asus B85-PRO GAMER Rs 5000
      RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (4GB+4GB) Rs 3800

Cabinet: Zebronics Duke Full Tower Rs. 1500
Monitor: Dell 22 inch LED - E2215HV Monitor Rs. 7500

Motherboard: Asus B85-PRO GAMER Rs 5000
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (4GB+4GB) Rs 3800

Let me know the RAM (1333/1600)

Some more option for GPU (should nvidia 1gb DDR5 be fitted in R7 250X place)
or R7 260 in same range.

Can any GPU is supported in this MOBO.

    1. The Corsair Vengeance is a 1600Mhz RAM so this will work at 1600Mhz right out of the box.
As for the Graphic Card the R7 250X is best in range the Nvidia counterpart is not as powerful plus is based on an older architecture.
The R7 260 is available is at a higher price point, if you want to upgrade to any other graphic card than the 250x then I suggest you get the GTX 650 2GB DDR5 or the GTX 750ti @GB DDR5 by stretching your budget a little bit more as then only its meaningful otherwise the R7 250X is the best card for you at that price.
Yes you can install any graphic card on the Asus B85-PRO GAMER so be rest assured.

    1. Hello,
Let me first suggest you a configuration in accordance with your specified budget. The config will be:

      Processor: Intel i5 4460 3.2Ghz LGA 1150 Rs 12000
Motherboard: Asus B85M Gamer Rs 6000
      RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (4GB+4GB) Rs 3800
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200RPM Rs 3700
      PSU: Corsair VS550 550 Watt Rs 3300
Cabinet: Zebronics Duke Full Tower Rs. 1500

This is the optimum configuration for your budget. As for the motherboard, yes the prices have gone up for the Pro Gamer recently so you can get the Gamer instead which is same as the Pro gamer with minor trade offs none of which will matter in the long run aswell.
The PSU and cabinet will accommodate and support your GPU and even a newer one with ease.
Feel free to ask any further questions.

  26. HI Vishvesh,

You have suggested me this gaming RIG.

    Processor: Intel i5 4460 3.2Ghz LGA 1150 Rs 11000
Motherboard: Asus B85-PRO GAMER Rs 5000
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (4GB+4GB) Rs 3800
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200RPM Rs 3700
    Graphic Card: PowerColor R7 250X 1 GB GDDR5 Rs. 6000
    PSU: Corsair VS550 550 Watt Rs 3300
Cabinet: Zebronics Duke Full Tower Rs. 1500
Monitor: Dell 22 inch LED - E2215HV Monitor Rs. 7500

    I got everything except :-

I am unable to find the mobo (Asus B85-PRO GAMER) only ASUS B85 G is available in whole NEHRU PLACE Delhi market. And they said B85 PRO GAMER is way more costly then B85 G . Please let me know the difference in both and pros cons or suggest any alternate mobo or should i search more for this specific mobo.
They also suggested me H97-Pro ASUS LGA1150.

I face some problem in getting GPU also PowerColor R7 250X 1 GB GDDR5 is not available they have ATI R7 250X 1 GB GDDR5 (both are same......?)

*You not gonna believe this specs cost me 47k when i paid the bill and then they told me to change the mobo. And i cancelled the whole order...:(

    1. Hello,
Yeah that is the configuration and I've just noticed yesterday the sudden increase in price of the Pro gamer. A worthy alternate is the Asus Intel B85M-GAMER (available on Amazon.in right now), if you want to keep all the added features of the Pro gamer like the LED backlit. The main difference between the two is of multi-gpu support, as the PRO gamer can support dual SLI or Crossfire.
If you don't want to get the Asus Intel B85M-GAMER then the Asus B85M G that you are getting is also good and will work flawlessly with all these components. Its just that it doesn't have cool looks and LED support, so it all comes down to your taste.

Yes you can get the ATI R7 250X instead its just a minor difference which won't matter in any case. Both are same GPU with minute tweaks and cooler difference.
Hope you get everything within your budget this time.

    1. For this budget both these processors are too expensive and will give you really poor performance since you'll have to compromise upon the Graphic Card & that's the main component in a Gaming PC.
Still if you want an i5 processor and that also of this range then you better go for a Skylake build since it'll be future proof.
The build would be as follows:
      Processor: Intel i5 6600K 3.5Ghz LGA 1151 Rs. 20000
Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Rs. 15000
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212X Rs. 2400
Graphic Card: Asus Strix GTX 960 2GB DDR5 Rs. 17000
      RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 Rs 6500
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Rs 3500
      PSU: Antec VP650PC Rs. 4500
Cabinet: Zebronics Duke Full Tower Rs. 1200

This is the minimum for a Skylake build even if you go for the Intel i5 4690K LGA 1150 then also the motherboard will cost the same with a LGA 1150 socket and Z97 chipset & the same goes for the RAM aswell.
Decide if this is Ok with you since a cheaper graphic card will not give you good gaming performance at all and would appear some what a mismatch considering your processor/motherboard choice.

    1. Hello,
The Graphic card is a 1GB DDR5 so the below setting should work fine for GTA V:
      Resolution 1680x1050
      DX version: 10.1
      FXAA, MSAA: Off
      Vsync: On
      Population density: 50%
      All setting for population: 0
      Texture quality: High
      Shadow Quality: Normal
      Reflection quality: Low
      Reflection MSAA: Off
      Water Quality: Low
Turn off or set to low for all other settings.

This will give you around 40+ frames at max and around 33 average which is good enough.
You can upgrade your graphic card to a GTX 750ti 2GB DDR5 if you are short on budget to utilize your build's full potential in gaming.
For the heating issue, make sure you have a good power supply unit from a reputed manufacturer and with enough wattage of a minimum 350W-450W since you have multiple HDD running. Your symptoms show that there isn't adequate power delivery to the components.
If you are unsure about this then mention your PSU model I'll clarify it for you.
Feel free to ask any further questions.

    2. Thank You for the reply,
Im not shure about the PSU, the brand name reads as ViP and it says 500W. I have 3 exhaust fans running. Also Flight Simulator X runs a little laggy when on max settings can I get the optimal setting for the current config.

      Delete
    3. VIP is not a reliable brand and 500W sounds good but the unit might not be delivering full power simply because of older architecture, you can read my articles on PSU to know about it more if you like.
I suggest you get an Antec VP500PC for optimum performance.
Three exhaust! You need to have two intake and one exhaust.....two will feed the interior with cold air and cool down your processor and Graphic Card while one will take all the hot air out. This can be the main reason why your components are heating up since they aren't getting cool air at all. Just flip two fans into intake and keep the back one as exhaust you'll notice the positive difference instantly.
Try to lower the resolution for that maybe in the 720p range that'll help I'm sure since this card cannot run it at higher settings/resolution.

    1. I haven't mentioned the SSD in the configuration since its not needed.
The i5 6600K is a 6th Generation LGA 1151 processor and will not work with the Asus B85 Pro Gamer since its a LGA 1150 socket based motherboard.
Hyper FuryX DDR4 version will work with a Skylake motherboard. DDR3 memory supported skylake motherboard are not advisable since one of the main points of buying a Skylake processor is the support for the latest DDR4 memory.
If you want to stay with a DDR3 memory kit then better get the Haswell processors like the i5 4690K.

      PSU: Corsair VS550 550 Watt Rs 3300
Cabinet: Cooler Master Force 500 Rs. 3200

This configuration is around 40K and the best you can get considering you already have a graphics card.

    1. Hello,
Since you have a decent budget I'd suggest you go for a Skylake build since its the latest and will be more future proof than anything else in the market right now, mainly because of its support for DDR4 memory.
The configuration for your budget should be:

      Processor: Intel i5 6600K 3.5Ghz LGA 1151 Rs. 20000
Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Rs. 15000
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212X Rs. 2400
Graphic Card: Asus Strix GTX 960 2GB DDR5 Rs. 17000
      RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 Rs 6500
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Rs 3500
      PSU: Antec VP650PC Rs. 4500
Cabinet: Cooler Master K380 Mid Tower Rs. 4500

This is a bit over your budget but includes the components of the same price that you had asked for, its just that they are newer and more powerful.
The GTX 970 is a bit too expensive for this build combination & you will have to raise your budget a bit to accommodate it.

    1. Hello,
What I understand is that you have a total budget of 35K for the system and you want to use a GTX 750ti or equivalent card.
Considering that this is what you are asking for I'll suggest you the following configuration:
CPU: AMD FX 6300 3.5Ghz hexa core processor Rs 8000
      Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Rs 5000
      RAM: G.Skill Aegis 8GB (4+4) DDR3 Rs 3600
Graphics Card: GTX 750ti Rs 9500
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Rs 3500
      PSU: Antec VP550 550W Rs 4500
Cabinet: Zebronics Duke Full Tower Rs. 1200

This is the best you can get in this budget and will help you run any game today at medium to high settings on 720p smoothly.
Feel free to ask any further questions.

    2. Thank you fr the reply..i hav some doubts..What about Intel core i3 processors??..I have heard that am3 socket will create bottleneck problems later and core i3 processors outperform amd fx 6300...wat do u suggest?

      Delete
    3. No the FX 6300 will not bottleneck your card it works fine with cards upto the GTX 960 4GB or the R9 380 4G without any issue or drags.
The AM3+ socket is not getting any new processors which is the only drawback for the platform. The i3 4130 is a good processor but only has two physical cores and since games have started demanding more cores you'll find it to be a bottleneck in the long run but yes the LGA 1150 socket it works on enables you to upgrade the processor to something more powerful like the i5 4690K in future.
I suggest that if you can stretch the budget by just 3K right now you can get the Intel i5 4460 3.2Ghz LGA 1150 for Rs 11000 and swap the motherboard to the Asus B85 GAMER for the same Rs 5000
This will be the best combination for you and much more future proof and long lasting.

      Delete
    5. I mean if the computer components are cheaper online or in stores..

      Delete
    6. Hi,
Happy to know that you purchasing your PC.
The Asus B85 Gamer should be your priority but in case you can't get it you can get the Gigabyte GA-B85-D3H, it has all the same features except for the blings like LED path etc
For the Duke you can consider any other case as an alternative, the reason for duke is its price and full tower height giving you ample of space for ventilation. If not available then buy anyone that you like or fits your pocket in that range since your build doesn't need anything special regarding the case.
The MSI edition for the GTX 750ti is best but also expensive so I suggest you get the Zotac edition if you are short on budget or the MSI one if you can afford shelling out another 2.5K-3K on the GPU for the best you can get in that range.
Not sure about the price in Mumbai but yes you can get the 750ti a bit cheaper over there in comparison to online prices I'm sure.

Please suggest a CPU around 35K. It`s not for gaming. working with corel draw and photoshop. need to connect dual monitor. the motherboard should have two pci expansion slot for X55O Ncomputing also. Can I connect dual monitor to a mb with dual video output or do I have to go for a Graphics card. Thin client will be One cpu with 10 nodes running both windows and ubuntu

    1. Hello,
What I can make out from your question is that you want a system config for 35K excluding peripherals. Also the cost of X550 is extra and not a part of the main configuration.
Considering your usage I'll recommend the following config:

CPU: AMD FX 6300 3.5Ghz hexa core processor Rs 8000
      Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 Rs 6000
      RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB (8+8) DDR3 Rs 6300
      Graphics Card: AMD/ATI R7 240 1GB DDR5 Rs 6000
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Rs 3500
      PSU: Antec VP550 550W Rs 4500
Cabinet: Zebronics Duke Full Tower Rs. 1200

The FX 6300 will be enough to run multiple OS with the kind of work you intend to do on the system. Yes you'll need a graphic card to connect multiple monitors to your system so I've suggest the best for you in minimum price.
Feel free to ask any further questions.

  41. Dear Vishvesh
My computer shop seller suggest me the following configuration. Is it good enough with regard to my previous question.
    Intel I3 4130 processor
    Gigabyte 85md3h motherboard
    Kingston 4gb x 4 ddr3 memory
Zotac GT 730 2 gb ddr5 graphics card
1 TB seagate or WD HDD
    Zebronics or iball Tower cabinet

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes you can buy this build but with a few changes, instead of the weak i3 4130 you should go for the i5 4440 which will cost you around 3K more in the local market than the processor your vendor has suggested you. This is because the i3 4130 is a dual core processor which is good enough but when you'll connect 10 nodes running two OS at the same time along with applications such as Photoshop or Coral Draw more cores would be needed to share the work load for faster execution. The hyperthreading on the i3 4130 does make it look like a quad core CPU but then Ubuntu has issues utilizing hyperthreading to full potential so its best you get a processor that has physical or actual quad cores like the i5 4440 which is a worthy upgrade in other ways aswell. You won't regret the extra 3K spent believe me.
For the RAM since you've not mentioned the model so try to keep it the same as I've told you and go for two 8GB sticks rather than four 4GB, this way you'll save two RAM slots on your motherboard and can add more RAM when required into the vacant slots rather than throwing away or selling your old RAM sticks to make room for newer ones.
Graphic Card is fine no problems with that. The PSU should be a good quality one like the one I've suggested you for stable and longer working since you'll be keeping this system powered on for most part of the day.
If you are short on budget now then get a local PSU but make sure you upgrade it later on in a year or so.
Everything else is good and has no issues whatsoever.

    1. Hello,
These games are not online, you need to purchase them on stores such as Steam or get a DVD with a partial setup. Both ways you'll have to download the full or partial game data on your system's storage drive.
The speed of net connection will only effect the time of download & not your gaming experience, it solely depends on your system's configuration.

      Internet 2mbps
Will these kind of games run in my pc..without lag?

      Delete
    3. Yes you can run these games on your PC easily but the GTX 750 is weak card for running such games at ultra high or high settings on 1080p resolution.
You can run these games at medium to high settings on 720p easily.
Considering your PC I suggest you upgrade your graphic card to something like the GTX 960 2GB DDR5 or the R9 380 2GB DDR5 whenever possible.

    1. Hello,
The rates are pretty much reasonable its just the price of the i5 4440 & the Zebronics Duke cabinet which is a bit on the higher end in comparison to other local markets.
Yes the performance difference would be noticeable and the extra 6.5K is worth spending not only for the sake of present performance but also keeping in mind future upgrades on the processor end.
No the Kingston RAM is much better since its faster and has a huge performance margin over the ADATA models, you need speed aswell as memory size for the RAM and this Kingston model is the best for both your needs aswell as for your budget.
Since your seller has quoted a very competitive price for the GT 730 with hardly a 1K difference I'll suggest you go for it since you don't want to run games on this system so you will benefit from more memory even though its slower and redundant for gaming but for your needs its perfect.
Get any monitor you like, since its for graphic designing you should go for a minimum 19' or 22' monitor with full HD resolution. Since you are connecting two of them and I presume one will be your primary and second will be tertiary so the second one can be of the same size as the primary but with lower resolution saving upon your money. Get any of the Dell monitors as primary and AOC/Samsung for secondary.

The HyperX Fury 1866Mhz is a better choice since the price difference is either nominal or in many cases lower than the 1600mhz variant.
Just buy two of these for a total capacity of 16GB. Your seller has quoted really high price for the RAM, on Snapdeal the same RAM is available for Rs 2994/-
Better you get the RAM online and save around 2K in total on the RAM itself.

    1. Hello,
More memory is useful for gaming and graphic intensive purposes like photo editing and even blue ray movie playback.
The GT 730 isn't a powerful card and the extra memory mainly goes waste in case of tike dependent tasks like gaming but since you are going for a node setup where multiple OS will run along with photoshop work being done so more memory will help in accommodating the data being worked upon and since it doesn't need to be extremely quick like gaming so a 2 GB variant won't be an entirely bad choice but worth the money spent.

    1. Hello,
Sorry for the late reply since I'm out of station these days with scant access to the web.
For a budget of 45K I'll suggest that we keep 35K or more for the main machine and the rest for peripherals like monitor etc
So a future proof configuration will be as follows:

CPU: Intel i3 4130 dual core processor Rs 8000
      Motherboard: Gigabyte 85MD3H Rs 5000
      RAM: G.Skill Aegis 8GB (4+4) DDR3 Rs 3600
      Graphics Card: GTX 750ti 2GB DDR5 Rs 9500
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Rs 3500
      PSU: Antec VP550 550W Rs 4500
Cabinet: Zebronics Duke Full Tower Rs. 1200

Now for the rest of the components --
Monitor: Dell 19.5 inch LCD With Backlit LED - D2015H Rs 6300
Speaker: Philips 2.1 Multimedia Speaker System Explode MMS4040F/94 Rs 2700

Keyboard and Mouse can be any from Dell, Lenovo or Microsoft which will cost you around Rs 800-1000
This is a great build if you are into gaming or any sort of visual editing, also its quite future proof for upgradations and expansions when required.

    1. Sorry for the late reply, I've suggested you a 4GB*2 configuration only for the RAM.
The E2015H is better straightway since its a full HD monitor with 1920x1080 resolution capacity.
In 3K increase I'm not sure about the Intel i5 4460 but yes you can get the i5 4440 instead which is still a great upgrade over the i3 4130. The i5 4460 will be possible if you increase your budget by 5K, still you can check your local market for price differences.

    1. Hello,
You have a good budget and since you are into photo editing and graphic intensive task I'll suggest you get something which is not only fast but also future proof.
A build based on the latest Intel Skylake architecture would be more worth it, the configuration would be as follows:

      Processor: Intel i5 6600K 3.5Ghz LGA 1151 Rs. 20000
Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Rs. 15000
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212X Rs. 2400
Graphic Card: Asus Strix GTX 960 2GB DDR5 Rs. 17000
      RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 Rs 6500
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2 TB Rs 5700
      PSU: Antec VP650PC Rs. 4500

      Monitor: Dell S2240L 21.5 inch Rs 9000
Keyboard and Mouse can be any of the Dell, Lenovo or Microsoft bundles that'll cost you another 1K maximum. You can upgrade to something more flashy later on if you like.
The best part about this configuration is its upgradability and performance difference over what you are looking at.
Feel free to ask any further questions.

    1. Hello,
First of all congratulations on your new purchase.
The graphics card is the GT 730 2GB DDR5 or the 2GB DDR3?
Its recommended that you connect the monitors via the graphics card slots only since you need everything processed and displayed using the card's power and not that of the motherboard.
For the HDMI port issue can be solved simply through a converter like a HDMI to VGA adapter which will hardly cost you around Rs 300-400.
Refer to one of my old articles on multi-monitor setup which will guide you through most of your doubts regarding everything on this topic:

Yes please do, one fan at the back in exhaust mode is advised to keep the innards cool and free of hot air. On the official website no specific size is given for the fan but looking at the pictures I can make out that it has provision for either a 80mm or 120mm fan, just check which one will fit. You can buy any fan from your computer vendor nothing specific or high end is needed in your configuration's case.
Online you can get this if its 80mm --

Just in case its a 120mm fan mount then go for this one --

Thanks a lot once again. Graphics card is GT 730 2GB DDR5. I think the fan is 80mm. The side panel fan is drawing air from in to out. You mean I have to connect the back fan in such a manner to draw air into the cabinet from outside.

    1. Hello,
The Duke doesn't come with a front fan, so I suggest that if possible you flip the fan that came with the case in the opposite direction making it suck air from outside to inside. This will give enough air to the insides for cooling down since your graphics card and processors need to stay cool for optimum functioning.
The rear fan that I'm talking about needs to be in exhaust mode which is it should suck in the air from inside of the case and vent it out to keep the insides cool, in a similar way in which the pre-installed LED fan is working.

When I connect zotac gt 210 to my gigabyte b85 motherboard, I get video output only from graphics card and not from mother board. Is there a way to get video out from both graphics card and motherboard simultaneously. I have three vga led monitors. the integrated graphics setup in the bios is enabled. I have with me GT 730 2 gb ddr5 and GT 210 1 gb ddr3. GT 730 is connected with asus H61 mb and GT 210 with gigabyte h85 mb. please help me.

    1. Hello,
The fan speed is fine and enough for your configuration with ~1800RPM.
Firstly as told above and in the article link provided to you, you cannot use the display ports of your motherboard and graphics card simultaneously be it in a single monitor or multiple monitor configuration.
Only one works at a time. For setting up multi-monitor configuration you need to plug in the monitors to each of the ports on your card, the GT 730 2GB DDR5 can handle upto 3 monitors so just hook them up to the card, windows will automatically detect the monitors connected to your system.
As for the GT 210 1GB DDR3, you can use only two monitors with it and not three.

  59. Dear Vishvesh
Presently at my home, I connected my AOC 27 inch monitor to motherboard(asus h61) vga out and my lcd tv to the hdmi port of GT730 graphics card. Its working as dual monitor. I dont't know why. But its working with extended display.

My main query is that the computer seller delivered my cpu with a standby 8gb ram promising me to deliver Kingston Hyperfury Ram as suggested by you. But today he told me its not available for him. He asked me if ADATA XPG V1.0 DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 8GB is oK or something like hyperfury type from Vengeance series.
Will this be equivalent to Kingston hyper fury RAM, or any other suggestion.

    Pls help me

    1. Hello,
This is a good thing for you since not all the motherboards support this function. You must've set the options to IGP>PCIe in the BIOS hence its working like that. Anyways its OK to do that, just make sure you don't run anything graphic intensive on the monitor connected via your motherboard or you'll have to reserve more memory for that hence deducting that much memory from your total RAM.

It depends, the RAM you are having right now is not bad if you have got it at a price drastically cheaper than what your seller is offering you the HyperX at. Since the ADATA RAM is around 266Mhz slower and also with slower timings which won't effect your work but then why to take anything bad at the same price!
I hope you get my point on this one. Corsair Vengeance is a good alternative for the HyperX but it might cost you more than our budget for the RAM, if its at the same price then go for the Vengeance without a doubt.

  60. Dear Vishvesh

Thanks once again for you quick response. They have not supply me with ADATA XPG yet and not quoted the rate also. They have put standby a local 8gb ram. Moreover I don't think it is 266 mhz slower because hyper fury is 1600 mhz and not 1866mhz(gigabyte B85 MD3H support upto 1600 mhz only). If I have to go with corsair vengeance can you suggest me the model type specifically.

    Pls reply ASAP

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. FuryX has a frequency of 1600Mhz base and after enabling the XMP profile you get it at 1866Mhz with latency 10 whereas the ADATA one has latency 11. Your motherboard doesn't support the total 1866Mhz of the Fury but even with a speed of 1600Mhz at CL10 its a faster RAM than ADATA at 1600Mhz CL11.
Anyways, for the Vengeance the model should be the Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600/PC3 12800(CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10) it has the same specs as the HyperX working at Cl10 at 1600Mhz.

  61. Dear Vishvesh

Thanks again. As the case for Corsair Vengeance should I go for Memory kit set of 16GB (2x8) or separate two individual ram. I have heard that memory kit ram are tested for dual channel and its good. Two single memory may not have 100 % dual channel compatability. Is it true.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You need a total of 16GB that means you can go for two 8GB sticks and save the two memory slots for future expansion.
The memory I've suggested you for Corsair Vengeance is quad channel which will work easily in dual channel mode as well when two of these sticks are installed.
Obviously its true single channel RAM cannot work in dual channel mode that's why I always suggest dual channel RAMs in all my builds.

I hope I am not disturbing you too much with my queries. I am very impressed by the way you helped me till date.

To my previous post I mean Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengeance 16GB Dual Channel Memory Kit (Black). 2x8gb. Is it the same one you noted in your reply.

    Replies
    1. No I've suggested the RAM with model no CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 and you are talking about the CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10.
These both have to differences, you are talking about a kit of two 8GB sticks that are dual channel and I'm talking about a single RAM that is quad channel.
My primary reason for suggesting you this model was that its cheaper than the one you are talking about. Mine will cost you around 6800/- for two sticks and your is for 7600/- with no performance gain at all

  63. Dear Vishvesh

    One more query
    Corsair Vengeance DDR3 16GB RAM (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9) or
    Corsair Vengeance DDR3 16GB RAM (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10)

Whats the difference in C9 and C10

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. C9 means its CL9 and C10 means its CL10. They depict the latency of memory to speak the least.
C9 is faster than C10 so you'll get a better performance in comparison to the latter since both these models have the same frequency of 1600Mhz.

The complete build for 50K would be as follows:

      Processor: Intel i5 6500 3.5Ghz LGA 1151 Rs. 16500
Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Rs. 15000

Happy to know that your PC is working fine & upto your expectations.
Firstly, are you running these two cards simultaneously in your system? Since these two are not SLI compatible.
Your motherboard supports a max of 16GB RAM so yes you can upgrade that, if your budget allows, with four 4GB DDR2 sticks. You can get any of these rated at upto 1200Mhz from your local vendor or online.
Kingston RAM is right now available on the net so you can check it.

Will do as you say. But for last one hour even though after removing GT 730,and restoring to yesterday's date, I am still having the same problem of CPU power off. I connected the CPU without UPS which was not the previous case. In the morning I will check line voltage and see if the processor fan is working. I think these two problems also may cause power off. Will let you know after that. If any suggestion please let me know. Another thing, is Windows 10 a good option over Windows 7 ultimate

    1. Yes you can try that but it won't solve the problem since its not the case with your UPS I presume but with something inside your cabinet.
Anyways I recommend that you check your processor temperatures or see if the fan on the processor is spinning or not, it can be a case of overheating processor.
Its a worthy upgrade but it all depends on what applications you tend to run since many applications are still not compatible with Windows 10. Just check it out and then upgrade.

That can be a problem with your adapter, check the card without the adapter with some other display screen or use the adapter with some other card to see which one of the two is faulty.

      The config is as follows:

      CPU: Intel i3 3220 3.3Ghz Rs 7200

    1. Hello,
Happy to know that everything is going well.
You can get the Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H since it has 4 memory slots but with that processor I really don't think 16GB of RAM is any good. The processor isn't strong enough to process tasks that require such high amount of memory in the first place, you can make a media center for your place or something out of it but don't expect the processor to be shining bright in places that require 16GB of memory! Moreover no game requires 16GB RAM 8GB is already enough, even I use 8GB myself.
I suggest that you get the H61 that your seller is offering you if you plan to use this processor and save the extra money for a future upgrade on the entire platform.

    1. Hello,
The configuration seems good and compatible.
I'd still suggest that you go for the Antec VP650P 650 Watts PSU rather than the CX600 for simple reasons such as more amperage on 12V rail, dual 12V rail for better protection and even two 6+2 PCIe connectors with overall better build quality.
Other than that everything is fine.

  90. hi Vishvesh,

I thought of another another build by AMD within 50K budget:

    CPU: AMD FX 6300
    Mobo: Asus M5A97 R2.0
    RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600Mhz 16GB
    GPU: Asus Radeon R9 270X 2GB DDR5
    SSD: Samsung Evo 120GB
    HDD: WD Caviar blue 1TB
    PSU: Corsair VS550
Cabinet: Any ATX Mid Tower within Rs. 2000
    Optical: Any

Excluding monitor / keyboard / mouse / speaker.

Please suggest me whether any change in the config is required or not. Thanx in advance...

    2. This build is not as competent as the previous one for the below reasons:
      1. The FX 6300 is a great processor for gaming but the AM3+ socket will limit you from any future upgrade that might be wort the price, whereas in case of the i5 4460 you can easily upgrade to a i7 4th later on if required. SO either you stay with the i5 4460 or get the FX 8350 instead of the FX 6300.
      2. The R9 270X is weaker than the GTX 960 2GB DDR5 in some cases so I'd suggest you get the GTX 960 only or else upgrade to the R9 380 2GB DDR5 but not the R9 270X.
      3. The PSU again is a VS series which is good but the Antec VP650P will be better at almost the same price.

I'm saying this since you have a good budget in hand which can be spent wisely to make the best of it. I'd say you get Windows 8.1 Professional 64-Bit for now since Windows 10 still has some compatibility issues regarding games excluding the very latest ones obviously.
