Cooler Master releases an affordable gaming headset for gamers

This headset won't break the bank.

We have plenty of recommendations if you're looking for a wired or wireless headset, though if you're just in the market for a relatively inexpensive solution from a name brand vendor, Cooler Master's new MasterPulse MH320 may fit the bill. It carries an MSRP of £35.

Cooler Master claims its new headset is suitable for both marathon gamers looking for a versatile sound option and casual gamers. And though affordable, Cooler Master insists it didn't skimp on quality.

"We designed this headset with gaming in mind so we made the headset lightweight to ensure comfort for hours on end, coming in at only 280 grams. We didn’t make any compromises on quality though and the MH320 has a self-adjusting headband with a steel support structure," says Bram Rongen, Peripheral Product Marketing Manager.

Ear cushions are constructed from PU leather and foam cushioning. Cooler Master also used PU leather on the headband.

The MasterPulse MH320 is a closed-back headset to help isolate sounds. It provides 2.0 stereo sound through 40mm drivers using dual 3.5mm gold-plated jacks. It has a rated frequency response of 20-20,000Hz and sensitivity (@1kHz) rating of 120dB +/- 3dB.

Voice chat is handled by a flexible boom microphone (bi-directional) that folds up and out of the way, but is not detachable.

The MasterPulse MH320 will be available at the end of the month.
